Onsite Service

Your office or home - my onsite service rate is $60 an hour with a minimum 1 hour charge. After 1 hour I bill in 15 minute increments  ($15.00 every 15 minutes until the job is completed).  I don't typically do virus removal on-site, simply because it can be too time consuming.  If it's something I believe I can't fix within the hour I'll let you know.  

In Shop Service

My shop rate (your computer in my office) is $40 an hour with a minimum charge of 1 hour.  I charge for the actual time your computer has my attention, not how long it takes to defragment your drive, or download windows updates.  The shop rate for virus removal will not exceed $80.   

Remote Assistance

My remote repair rate is $20 for every 30 minutes with a minimum charge of $20.  This is provided your computer is operational enough to connect to the internet and you have a high speed connection.

The program I use is www.screenconnect.com  It is designed so that you have to log into my server in order for me to take control of your computer.  It does require you install a client program.  It's easy, and I'll walk you through it. 

Virus & Spyware Removal

This usually must be done in my office because of the time and tools required.  I'll do a quick scan to check the severity before taking the system.  If it's not severe, I'll attempt to fix it at that time.

If your system files are damaged from the virus, a Windows reinstall will be required and the price will be $80 (the virus removal price will not be applied).  If possible, I'll recover your documents, pictures, and music and move them back after the reinstall. 

Windows Reinstall

Windows Reinstall price is $80.  This involves reformatting your hard drive, and reinstalling Windows. This can be a very time consuming project depending on the OS, and the type of system you have. Most of the time device drivers have to be downloaded from the computer manufacturer's website in order for Windows to be able to use that device.  On older machines I've spent hours looking for drivers just so the computer could connect to the internet, or play sound.  This also includes installing any needed windows updates which could take hours. I also install java, adobe flash, adobe acrobat, and an antivirus program of your choice. If you have other software titles such as QuickBooks or Microsoft Office, my rate for install is $10 per title. 

Hardware Prices

I only sale repair/upgrade parts such as: hard drives, memory, and power supplies.  If you'd like to buy your own parts from a store such as Amazon or BestBuy, I'll recommend to you what to get and who has the best price.
